According to Forbes, the young reality star - who just became a mother earlier in the year with the rapper, Travis Scott - is on track to making her first billion dollars, making her one of the youngest female billionaires.

Kylie Cosmetics has already generated an estimated $230 million in net profit and Forbes predicts that sometime later this year, Jenner will likely become the youngest self-made billionaire in the world - a title that Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg once held. Jenner was featured in Forbes' annual list of the 60 Most Successful Women Entrepreneurs in America on Wednesday for her massive fortune worth $900 million. (The remaining $100 million to Jenner's name comes from endorsements, TV payouts, and after-tax dividends from her company.) Kim Kardashian West, meanwhile, is reportedly worth a mere $350 million.

Forbes attributed Jenner's success to her popularity on social media.

"Social media is an awesome platform", says Kylie, who ranks No. 27 on the list. "I have such easy access to my fans and my customers".

"Before I even refreshed the page, everything was sold out", Jenner recalled. "I turned to makeup to help me feel more confident".

Kylie Cosmetics is dealing with slowing growth - Forbes reports that revenue grew just 7% a year ago, with lip-kit revenue dropping an estimated 35%.

Some people are taking issue with Forbes putting Kylie Jenner on a list of "self-made" billionaires - but the publication's reasoning makes sense. "Thank you for this article and the recognition".

Jenner said she hopes to pass her business down to her daughter, Stormi: "If she's into it", she said. I'm so blessed to do what I love every day. "It brings me so much joy to watch you continue to make your @kyliecosmetics dreams a reality!"

That's when the makeup-obsessed teen chose to launch her own company.

Kylie's mom, Kris Jenner, was also thrilled, tweeting: "My beauty on the cover of @Forbes!".

They are only available online via her website but luckily Kylie has a UK Kylie Cosmetics website set up which converts her product prices to pounds, rather than dollars, on checkout.
