George Clooney Injured in Italy Car Crash

George Clooney was reportedly involved in a vehicle accident on Monday.

A picture from La Nuova shows a smashed windscreen, which suggests George hit it during the crash, but despite this, his condition is not thought to be serious.

Daily newspaper La Nuova Sardegna said the 57-year-old Clooney was heading to a film set a auto hit his motorbike. He was reportedly heading to the set when he was struck by the vehicle. Local paper La Nuova Sardegna reports the actor was heading to the set of his Hulu limited series Catch-22 in Costa Corallina when he was struck at around 8AM local time.

An ambulance took Clooney to the nearest hospital, where an MRI scan revealed that the actor was not seriously injured, according to police and health officials.

HollywoodLife has reached out to reps for George for further statement or comment.

Italian media reports Clooney has already been released from the hospital. He has been in Sardinia since mid May, shooting TV series Catch 22, which he is directing and in which he also stars, alongside Hugh Laurie, Kyle Chandler and Christopher Abbott.
