US President Donald Trump has gushed about his meeting with the Queen during an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan, saying "that's a lovely woman".

Trump follows in the footsteps of previous Presidents to visit Windsor Castle, including Ronald Reagan in 1982, George W. Bush in 2008, and Barack Obama in 2016.

Morgan's interview will be broadcast on Monday morning on ITV but he released excerpts to the Mail on Sunday, including the section where he asked Trump: "Is there any doubt you'll run again in 2020?"

"How is it that Melania and Trump reckon they don't need to curtsey and bow to the QUEEN OF ENGLAND".

"The Queen is terrific". "She was unbelievable! Such a wonderful lady and so lovely!" "She is an incredible woman. She's a very special person".

'And the way she's conducted herself for so many years. The meeting seemed cordial, and apparently left a good impression on the president, despite the fact that some observers accused him of bad manners and several violations of royal etiquette.

Le Drian says Trump only believes in conflictual relationships, and accused him of trying to destroy multilateral efforts to encourage trade, fight climate change and Iran's nuclear activities. She's a very special person... when I say lovely - inside and out. "I am sure this was not intentionally done, but it did not look very good". Cory Booker of New Jersey and Kamala Harris of California, who are seen as younger and more diverse messengers of the Democratic Party.

"You add it all up and it's like over 150 million people - that's a tremendous amount of people between Facebook and Instagram and Twitter - three different platforms, it's tremendous", he continued. However the trip has been marred by anti-Trump demonstrations, as people took to the streets in London and the Scottish capital of Edinburgh to protest the President's visit. The two bonded when Morgan appeared on Trump's "The Celebrity Apprentice" in 2008, in its first season, which he of course won.

Some may worry that Trump's blustery, bull-in-the-china-shop manner could be an issue during the Queen's tea - something that many consider a complicated test of manners and protocol.

Before leaving Britain for a summit in Finland with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr Trump breached British royal protocol by publicly disclosing the details of a conversation he had with Queen Elizabeth about the complexities of Brexit. "I mean they have a lot of great products".
