Brady Bunch house for sale at $2.6 million

The Studio City home made famous from the television series, "The Brady Bunch", is up for sale.

Interiors for the show were shot on a soundstage, but to make the home look bigger, a fake window was added to make it seem larger.

The house, which is located along the Los Angeles River near the Colfax Meadows neighborhood, is listed at $1.885 million. Now that the couple has passed, the McCallisters kids are selling the home, real estate agent Ernie Carswell says.

The house will be shown by appointment only to stave off tourists. Brady fans across the nation are jumping for joy as the Brady home, in Studio City, Calif.

According to the listing, the home boasts "perfectly preserved 1970s décor", which includes wooden panels, a stone fireplace, living room bar and original MusiCall intercom and whole-house radio.

It's the story of a house for the Bradys.

"We're preparing for an avalanche", he said. "Emails, telephone calls - we may see upwards of 500 calls a day".

Carswell said they hope to avoid razing the property. The previous owners moved in in 1973, when the sitcom was reaching its end, and have barely changed the decor over the past few decades.

A very Brady piece of real-estate just went up on the market.

"By chance, have there been any reports of unusual phenomena taking place as a result of a previous occupant's procurement of a tiki idol?"
