Interestingly, consumers don't have to wait long to purchase them in Malaysia though as these new notebooks are available for order through Apple Malaysia's website.

The new MacBook Pros start at Dh7,499 (13 inches) and Dh9,999 (15 inches). True Tone is a nice feature that matches the color temperature of your display to the color temperature of your surroundings, thanks to an embedded light sensor. Regarding the controversial third-generation keyboard on the new models, TechCrunch has just confirmed that it is noticeably quieter than its predecessor.

"For standard configurations, the 13" ranges from Dollars $1,299 to $1,799 and the 15" starts at $2,399 with a higher spec for $2,799.

According to Apple, the Blackmagic eGPU will deliver 2.8 times faster graphics performance on the 15-inch MacBook Pro and 8 times faster on the 13-inch model.

The new computers also feature the new Apple T2 chip, which was first used in last year's high-end iMac Pro. Yep, Apple is actually offering a Core i9-equipped variant.

The updated Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro features a 6-core 8th-generation Intel core processor.

The MacBook Pro 15-inch and 13-inch model also feature dynamic stereo speakers and Thunderbolt 3 that will enable data transfer and connecting up to two 5K displays or four external GPUs. However, you don't get a full size USB port or SD Card slot that the 2015 MacBook Pro had; you'll need to carry around dongles for certain peripherals. The 256GB version comes with the Radeon Pro 555X GPU and remains at $2,399 while the 512GB version goes with the Radeon Pro 560X for $2,799.

Apple could release new iPad Pro models that feature an edge-to-edge screen and Apple's facial recognition technology, FaceID.

The starting price for the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is $1799 (R24,000), the same as before.

Available in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue and Black, the sleeve is created to keep your notebook safe. The design of the MacBooks stays the same, which means that Apple still uses the controversial keyboard with its delicate Butterfly mechanism and Touchbar - although Apple does say that they have reduced the noise of the "3rd gen Butterfly" switches.

As I've outlined before, the 2015 MacBook Pro offered a great keyboard with lots of cushy travel.
