Zara and Mike Tindall's baby has already broken a royal record

Zara Tindall, the Queen's granddaughter, and her husband Mike Tindall have announced the birth of their second child.

The couple's choice of baby name has not yet been revealed but the palace confirms it will be "in due course".

It was only a few months ago that a heavily pregnant Zara, who shares four-year-old daughter Mia with the former England rugby player, attended the wedding of her cousin Prince Harry, who Wednesday Meghan Markle at St George's Chapel, Windsor on May 19.

Buckingham Palace said in a statement that Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The baby's name hasn't been announced yet, but her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, is delighted with her arrival. "The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz", the statement read.

Zara Tindall does not have a royal title herself as Anne and her husband chose not to give her one.

Mia Grace Tindall was born on 17 January 2014.

Zara, a champion equestrian rider who won a team silver in the London 2012 Olympics, and former England rugby player Tindall have been together for 15 years and married in Edinburgh in July 2011.

The exciting news comes more than a year after the 37-year-old royal suffered a devastating miscarriage in late December.
