LeBron James has said that no matter who wins this year's National Basketball Association final, neither his Cavaliers or the Warriors will be accepting an invite to the White House from Donald Trump.

On Monday, June 4, Democratic Pennsylvania lawmakers invited the Philadelphia Eagles to visit the U.S. Capitol following President Trump's disinvitation of them to the White House.

There was also a news report showing Eagles players kneeling in prayer as part of the story on the anthem protest. The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegration, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better. "It wasn't discussed once in our meetings about the visit", Eagles defensive end Chris Long said on Twitter.

"To clarify: No members of the team knelt in protest during the national anthem throughout [the] regular or post-season previous year", she added.

The league is facing labor grievances from Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid, both of whom claim they have been blacklisted due to their decisions to kneel during the anthem in protest of social injustice.

Don't be late: "I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus to celebrate America", he said. In an interview on Fox business channel, Trump said, "Tweeting is like a typewriter - when I put it out, you put it immediately on your show". The NFL Network reported that fewer than 10 players were expected to attend. Last month, Commissioner Roger Goodell announced a new policy requiring players on-field before the game to stand for the anthem.

"The NFL has said as recently as two weeks ago, they said if you're out there and you're not standing the team will be fined".

Other reporters continued to ask Sanders if Trump realized that the Eagles hadn't taken part in the National Anthem protests past year, which he's railed against publicly numerous times.

The White House later said the planned Tuesday gathering was short-circuited because the team engaged in a "political stunt" by promising dozens of players would attend and then saying only a handful would.

US President Donald Trump appears to mumble the words to "God Bless America" at an impromptu "Celebration of America" ceremony which was held at the White House on Tuesday.
