President Donald Trump's longtime personal lawyer and self-described fixer Michael Cohen will likely cooperate with federal prosecutors, a new report said Wednesday.

Sources told ABC News that Cohen could "cooperate with federal investigators" as his attorneys jump ship and said the decision to cooperate "is believed to be imminent".

Cohen's move to switch lawyers is being interpreted by some legal observers as a sign he may be seeking to cooperate with federal prosecutors.

Cohen's lawyers had been scrambling to meet federal Judge Kimba Wood's Friday deadline to complete a review of over 3.7 million documents seized in the April 9 raids of Cohen's NY home, office and hotel room, the network reported.

Todd Harrison and Stephen Ryan of McDermott, Will & Emery LLP attorneys represented Cohen until now.

Tuesday, Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair reported Michael Cohen-who is under criminal investigation in NY over his business dealings-"has told friends that he expects to be arrested any day now". "These government tactics are also wrong because Mr. Cohen has cooperated completely with all government entities, including providing thousands of non-privileged documents to the Congress and sitting for depositions under oath", Ryan added. The ABC report has been corroborated by The New York Times and CNN.

Jones reported last week that of the first 300,000 items reviewed, she had determined that just 162 of them were covered by attorney-client privilege. The Wall Street Journal reported the law firm, which has represented Cohen since June 2017, would part company with him at the end of the week.

The criminal probe into Cohen's business dealings stems in part from a referral by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating whether Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Russian Federation to influence the US presidential election.

"Person close to Cohen says he hasn't flipped yet, 'he's sending up a smoke signal to Trump: I need help'". "If anyone can blow up Trump, it's him".
