LOS ANGELES, June 14 ― Los Angeles prosecutors said yesterday that they were reviewing a sexual assault case against Rocky actor Sylvester Stallone.

A spokesperson for the District Attorney's office in Los Angeles has said that a case has been presented to police in Santa Monica. Risling did not give further details about the case. Media reports from a year ago, however, outline at least two alleged incidents of sexual assault from his past.

Stallone's camp has denied both of the allegations of assault, and even threatened to file claims accusing the alleged victims of filing false police reports.

Stallone's case joins a slew of others that are being handled by the L.A. County sex crimes task force, which was formed previous year in the wake of the enormous fallout from the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Police officials said a 50-year old actress filed a report claiming the actor assaulted her in the 1990s at his Santa Monica office. The first involves the rape allegation from 1990, and a source close to the investigation said that this is the case being reviewed by prosecutors. "At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter".

Santa Monica police said in December that they were investigating a complaint against Stallone that was made in November 2017 of alleged sexual misconduct in the 1990s.
