Ubisoft has announced at E3 2018 the official release date for Starlink: Battle for Atlas.

The game itself allows you to customise your toy ship which will be reflected in-game, as you explore exotic alien worlds and engage in space battles. The title will release October 16.

One of the biggest highlights at last year's E3 was Ubisoft's Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.

We know that the content will at least include Fox McCloud himself and his signature Arwing, but it's unclear how numerous original crew will be available in the bonus content that's coming to the Nintendo Switch. The Arwings will be a physical starship that you can play with in the game. During the announcement, Ubisoft Co-founder and CEO, Yves Guillemot, brought out Shigeru Miyamoto to hand him a prototype replica of the Arwing, Star Fox team's iconic spaceship from the Star Fox series.

The prices of the individual toys are now unknown but the base game will set you back $75 for one ship, a handful of weapons, a starting character, and the game itself.

The titular character will be coming to Starlink Battle For Atlas, Ubisoft upcoming action-adventure Sci-fi shooter.

Lead a group of heroic interstellar pilots who use modular starships to mix and match their unique gear and skills on the fly.
