The movie is set to hit theaters November 1, 2019.

Taking to Twitter, Gal Gadot posted the shot with the simple caption: 'She's back...'

Pascal's character could be the villain, and since Wonder Woman only learned of her heritage at the end of the last film, his role could be tied to her further exploring where she truly came from.

Kriten Wiig also joins the cast of Wonder Woman 1984, and Patty Jenkins immediately confirmed her as playing Cheetah, one of the character's greatest enemies.

This photo comes after some other "first look" photos that were previously shared for the movie, including an intriguing one of Steve Trevor! Let's hope the promo material keeps coming, so we have something to keep us going until then.

Filming on the highly anticipated "Wonder Woman" sequel has officially begun, and some just-released photos reveal some important information about the new movie! Whereas the first film dealt with the otherwordly Ares causing chaos on earth, this movie has more of a realistic feel to it at the moment, and the Washington, D.C. setting suggests a political, more human element.

Jenkins has also reunited much of her below-the-line creative team from Wonder Woman, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, production designer Aline Bonetto, and costume designer Lindy Hemming. Chris Pine will return as Steve Trevor and we're all about as confused about that as Steve Trevor is about windbreakers. All of the new views from the set show off the 1980s aesthetic in a major way, though the fanny pack was more of a late 80s and early 90s accessory. Oscar-nominated editor Richard Pearson (United 93) will cut the film.
