Authorities arrested Dedrick Williams of Pompano Beach on Wednesday evening and charged him with first-degree murder.

Dedrick D. Williams, 22, of Pompano Beach, FL, was arrested Wednesday, days after the rapper, real name Jahseh Onfroy, 20, was gunned down. Williams was also charged with a probation violation related to motor vehicle theft. Many believed the murder had been committed by local rappers Soldier Kidd and Soldier Jojo. After denying any connection to the murder, Soldier Kidd suspiciously deleted his Instagram account.

A judge ordered that Williams be held without bond, while homicide detectives are reportedly seeking additional suspects in the shooting. In fact, this murder may have nothing to do with any beef or vendetta. Both rappers ate at a nearby restaurant and drove a similarly dark SUV ten minutes before the shooting. The page also features many videos of Williams flaunting stacks of money, as well as a 2014 photo of a handgun with the caption "My mcm". Investigators initially suspected that the shooting was a result of a random robbery and it is unclear whether they are still looking for a second suspect.

XXXTentacion was apparently a frequent customer of RIVA Motorsports, who describe themselves as "Florida's largest motorcycle, scooter, dirt bike, ATV, personal watercraft, and jet boat dealer".

On Tuesday, the recording artist's only two albums occupied the top two slots on Amazon's Movers And Shakers Digital Music list. Williams' past arrests include those for cocaine possession, weapons possession, domestic violence and aggravated assault with a firearm. Not only was Williams on probation for grand theft auto, but he's been arrested for the same crime multiple times. Police had previously dropped several criminal charges against him.

In a statement, Onfroy's label Caroline Records said: "Everyone at Caroline is shocked to learn of the tragic death of Jahseh Onfroy, professionally known as XXXTentacion", it read. Onfroy was awaiting trial for allegedly beating his pregnant girlfriend at the time of his death. Later charges included witness tampering. "In deference to his family, friends, and loved ones and in light of further investigation, we ask that their privacy be respected at this time".

Onfroy's great-grandmother Corine Jones said she learned of her great-grandson's death when she got up to use the bathroom and turned on the television.
