Nigeria's Super Eagles have finally landed in Russian Federation ahead of the World Cup, which starts on Thursday.

With the World Cup just days away, donning a green and white native attire yesterday, the team left Nigeria for Russian Federation, in grand style. Their jerseys sold out on the day they were released and they have recived endorsements from unlikely sources including Italian football club side AS Roma and Kenyan politician Raila Odinga.

While most countries will be making do with tracksuits or tiresome two-piece suits, the Super Eagles will be gabbing about Russian Federation looking like this...

That has however not weighed down the expectations of over 180 million Nigerians who are rooting for the three time African champions.

Nigeria are in a the hard Group D in Russian Federation alongside Croatia, Iceland and Argentina, with some reports suggesting their sales of their home strip have already passed the three million mark.

They donned white hats with green ribbons to complement the elegant design on their white garments.

This is Nigeria's sixth appearance at the World Cup since making a debut show at the United States of America 1994.

John Obi Mikel and his colleagues will be hoping to get past the Round of 16 - the country's best finish ever in the championship's history.
