Lionel Messi reacts to prospective Antoine Griezmann deal

Belgian journalist Patrick Juillard has tweeted out that Man Utd midfielder Marouane Fellaini will sit down with representatives from Arsenal to discuss signing for the London club.

With such high transfer fees comes high wages, and new Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly been handed a transfer budget of just £50 million to work with this summer, thus making a free transfer for somebody of Fellaini's pedigree a tempting proposition.

Arsenal have both Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla out of contract this summer, with the latter signing for Villareal which means midfield recruitments are necessary going into the 2018/19 season.

Fellaini, who moved to the Red Devils from Everton in a £27m deal in 2013, is set to become a free agent in the coming weeks when his current deal with Manchester United expires.

The 30-year-old also has an offer to move to AC Milan and a one-year contract to stay at Old Trafford.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has said he would like Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann to join him at the Camp Nou to help form "the best team in the world", but added a deal is not yet 100 percent done.

Apparently the 29-year-old will fly to London this week for his medical and assuming he's given a clean bill of health he will sign a three-year contract with the north London club.

The defender's father, Charalambos Papastathopoulos, told Greek radio station 24/7 on an impending agreement: "There was interest from United but he had to wait until July for them".
