It's not the developer's first foray into indie music: Speedy Ortiz's "No Below" was a memorable part of last year's Life Is Strange: Before The Storm game.

The game, developed by Dontnod Studios, is set in the Life is odd universe, following a new male protagonist, a young boy named Chris.

"Over the past few years, ever since the release of the first game, Dontnod have been quietly working on the next mainline entry in the Life is unusual universe", reads the post.

Fancy that? The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is free-of-charge and lands on June 26. You don't have to have owned any other Life Is Strange games; you don't have to pre-order the sequel - you can just download it. Many assumed this would be Life Is Strange 2.

The world of Life Is Strange is back with another story - The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. Players assume the role of a 10-year-old boy called Chris.

Chris's story is based around his childlike imagination, and his story takes him to alien planets in his superhero alias Captain Spirit.

Captain Spirit will contain "many secrets" and Easter eggs for Life is unusual 2, so the directors encouraged players to explore everything. The follow-up prequel developed by Deck Nine was a worthy successor but we now know what the next Don't Nod story in the Life Is Strange universe is. We get to watch as he goes through his stories as Captain Spirit.
