LeBron James likens Golden State Warriors to New England Patriots

James elaborated on the challenge the Warriors present since adding Durant.

If the Warriors win the National Basketball Association championship this season, their title will be the franchise's third in four years - the same feat the Patriots accomplished with Super Bowl victories in 2001, 2003, and 2004.

The Warriors have a 3-0 lead for the second straight year.

"I think there's a good chance he'll play", Kerr said.

The resigned look on LeBron James' face spoke volumes as Game 2 of the NBA Finals wound down.

The Cavs assembled a talented, mentally tough team with the tools to dethrone the Warriors two Junes ago. "But our guys sense the finish line, and they turned it on right from the beginning of the playoffs defensively". "They teamed up and it's like, 'OK. beat this.' And now I think it's on another organization to get that same narrative". Cleveland's staring down the barrel of a sweep.

The Dubs once again managed to overcome a sensational performance by LeBron James as he failed in his attempt to will his team to a win. Golden State would have an obligation to sit down with James should he show interest.

Count James' Thursday session with the media as an early exercise in reading tea leaves until he actually decides what to do in July.

Warriors forward Andre Iguodala, the 2015 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, returned to Golden State's lineup after being sidelined by a left leg bone bruise. His ability to handle the ball, shoot the ball, make plays at his length, his size, his speed.

"So what do we have to do?" Is it we have to have our minds into it a little bit more?

So someone asked LeBron, without "trying to get you to say anything negative", what he felt about the Cavs' competitive level now.

For years, the Patriots have exploited slip-ups by their opponents while (mostly) playing mistake-free football themselves.

The series shifts to Cleveland for the first time in Game 3.

Curry was coming off a Game 2 in which he hit a Finals-record nine 3-pointers en route to 33 points. They failed to convert, and the miscue set up the Pats for an end-of-half touchdown that gave New England a commanding 17-0 lead. His previous high for an entire year was 100 in 2010-11. "I knew their minds". Cleveland kept everyone in check with the exception of Durant.

There isn't an answer for that right now.

A bounce here, a couple stops there, the Cavs could be leading in these finals and the conversation would be different. James didn't condemn the trade at all when it happened.

But if things get rocky next season, the Warriors will also have the experiences from this year to draw upon. "I believe that he would have been very, very good for us in the postseason".
