Sea of Solitude heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2019.

As revealed at E3 2018, Sea of Solitude is being developed by Berlin-based developer, Jo-Mei Games.

It's heartening to see EA back such ventures which while not as high profile or commercially viable as Federation Internationale de Football Association or Battlefield, how Sea of Solitude is received will be a point of interest. Similar to Unravel which just got a surprise sequel announcement and release, Sea of Solitude is a game which many would rather expect from an indie developer.

Loneliness can turn humans into monsters. Which is exactly what happened to protagonist Kay, a woman suffering from tumultuous inner turmoil. The game follows a young girl named Kay, who's loneliness and frustration transforms her into a monster. Earlier this year EA Originals released mature co-op action game A Way Out as well as action-platformer Fe.

What we can tell you is that Sea of Solitude is now scheduled to be released in 2019 for what we assume will be all major platforms.

You may remember EA Originals being mentioned recently in the context of Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios' A Way Out. During the EA Play press conference at the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday June 9, Geppert told the audience about her experience writing Sea of Solitude. Does it seem like the kind of game you'd like to play, or are you more interested in Battlefield V, Anthem or the other titles announced during EA Play?
