Why was Hulk not coming out in Avengers: Infinity War?

At the end of the movie, Thanos wipes away half of humanity in the universe, including numerous Avengers. Should this come to be true, Avengers 4 will show just how the surviving superheroes have been coping with their loss all this time.

Though Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were all different and original movies, nothing is going to be as different and original as Captain Marvel.

"They really understand that. unless [the movies]. have an emotional heart to them, they don't hold together", he said. In the scene in question, Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, asks Tony Stark: "Where's Gamora?".

According to MCU Cosmic (via The Hashtag Show), the opening scene of the upcoming movie will explain what Hawkeye is up to between "Infinity War" and the upcoming movie.

One of the highlights of the superhero flick is the tumultuous relationship between Doctor Strange and Tony Stark, both of whom butt heads with each other throughout the movie thanks in part to their equally big egos. In fact, I'm not even going to spoil the movie at all for you in what follows.

So we get to this movie theater and Tom jumps up onstage and he says "Hi everybody I'm alive!' and these people have not seen the movie yet, right?" If true, it may be a spoiler for "Avengers 4".

"Infinity War" has something for everyone. "I'm guessing that we will try our hand at what I'll call a new franchise beyond Avengers". Or it may be a hint of a happy ending *after* some kind of solution in "Avengers 4".

It refers back to a a two-year old interview with Avengers directors Joe & Anthony Russo in which they were asked directly if Captain was worthy of wielding Mjolnir.

So like I said, pretty vague, but if you have thoughts on who or what could be coming to the MCU post-Avengers 4, feel free to share them in the comments! Well, we know the broad strokes but have little in the way of specifics. They've also mapped out a Spider-Man sequel which will go into production this July and they are developing a third Guardians of the Galaxy film as well.
