For the past few weeks, the rumors around FOX where that the network would either cancel the hit series "Lethal Weapon", or replace the lead-actor Clayne Crawford. One we've been keen to hear news about is whether Lethal Weapon was going to get a season 3 or not.

According to Deadline, Scott is rumored to be playing Riggs' brother, so the series could continue using the "Riggs" name. Matthew Miller is the creator and showrunner, with Warner Bros. However, reports emerged that Crawford had been disciplined by the network for multiple outbursts of bad behavior put the show in jeopardy of cancellation.

Lethal Weapon was something of a bubble show for a renewal, averaging a 1.7 rating and a multi-platform audience of 8.6 million, but the series does well internationally. The rest of the cast includes Jordana Brewster, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jonathan Fernandez, Michelle Mitchenor, Thomas Lennon, Chandler Kinney and Dante Brown.

The is the first series regular role for Scott, who first broke out as part of the American Pie franchise but who has shown considerable range through films like Role Models, The Rundown, and Goon. "Warner Bros. Television has decided not to renew Clayne Crawford's contract for Lethal Weapon, " the studio said in a statement. Miller, Dan Lin, Jennifer Gwartz, and McG serve as executive producers.

"Lethal Weapon" is a production of Warner Bros. The pilot was written by Miller and directed by McG.

Episodes of LETHAL WEAPON are available on FOX NOW, Hulu and On Demand.
