Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could be just two months away

Until Samsung launches the Android P beta program exclusively for its Galaxy S9 handset, we need to wait. Taking note of these complaints, Samsung has reportedly halted the rollout of the Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge temporarily.

Moving on the Samsung Galaxy S9, this phone from the South Korea-based tech company has a single 12MP sensor at the back. However, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star (SM-G885F/DS) is rumored to launch in various worldwide markets as well and not only in China as it happened with various A-series Galaxy handsets that Samsung released in the past. This clearly suggests, the launch of Galaxy Note 9 will fall somewhere near August. The other considerable explanation is, Samsung wants to place one of its devices to counter iPhone X, which has already topped as the best-selling smartphone in the first quarter of this year.

However, the more intriguing reason for the earlier Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10 release dates is that Samsung is making room for another line of flagship smartphones. A company official simply said, "The internal atmosphere is not much different compared to previous year for early launches". You can get the Galaxy S9 in six different colours however, while the OnePlus 6 sticks with two varieties of black and a limited edition white. This will also pave the way for the rumored foldable display device to come out at the Mobile World Congress in February.

The Galaxy S10's rumoured 3D-sensing module is being developed by camera firms Mantis Vision and Woodgate, The Bell notes. "Their supply timing wouldn't determine our schedules for new launches".

Citing a study from Ookla, the internet metrics analysis company behind SpeedTest, Samsung highlights that the S9 and S9 Plus have download speeds up to 42% faster than its unnamed "closest-competitor".
