Then Pekka Rinne, with an.898 playoff saves percentage that belied his status as a Vezina candidate, comes out the size of a castle door in Game 6, shutting out the Jets 4-0.

The free-flowing Jets and the counter-attacking, at times defensively minded Predators play one more game for a berth in the Western Conference final.

The Predators clamped down defensively, impeding numerous Jets' rushes before they could reach unsafe areas of the ice.

The home team has lost four of the six games so far as the Nashville Predators silenced the whiteout last night, winning 4-0 and sending the series back to Smashville for a game seven.

As the third period got underway, Winnipeg stepped up the pressure on Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne, who stopped 34 shots on goal tonight, but to no avail.

"We didn't move the puck particularly well on (the power play), but that was also in the five-on-five game, not just the five-on-four game". Both Forsberg and Arvidsson put up two goals and one assist each, while Ryan Johansen came away with two assists.

"We obviously believe in each other", Forsberg said. Forsberg was shoved down to the ice by a Jets defender, but was able to receive a pass from Arvidsson, as Forsberg attempted a between-the-legs shot and snuck it past Hellebuyck.

They have met 11 times since November, and Nashville has won six.

"What was the trouble for us on the power play would have been true 5-on-5", coach Paul Maurice said.

This first-round series is best remembered as the one where the NHL Jets blew a 3-1 series lead against the mighty Oilers, who went on to capture yet another Stanley Cup that spring. They had three power plays in the first period and failed to convert.

"We don't change anything", Wheeler said in a quiet Winnipeg locker room following Thursday's defeat.

Forsberg scored his first goal, which made it 2-0 in the second, while falling down.

After breaking his stick in the defensive zone blocking a shot, the Swedish winger raced to the bench to collect a new piece of lumber as the puck nearly simultaneously arrived at his feet. Forsberg stayed onside, fought off Jets defenseman Ben Chairot and beat Hellebuyck short-side before crashing into the net. Stastny also missed from a tight angle off the boards on the follow up on Rinne.

The Jets made it 5-2 just 28 seconds into the third, stifling any Nashville rally when Scheifele scored his ninth goal this postseason from the slot. It's the best group of guys I've ever played with.

"I don't think there's any question that Fil's a big-game player", Predators coach Peter Laviolette said. "You can't really compare him to anyone out there".

Nashville alone had 4 penalties in Monday night's game.

The Preds Party in the Park outdoor watch party for Game 5 on Saturday will take place at the Music City Walk of Fame Park across from Bridgestone Arena. The puck hit off of Arvidsson's stick and went past Hellebuyck, but was initially called off because of a high stick.

Clarksville, Tn - The Nashville Predators manhandled the Winnipeg Jets tonight with a 4-0 shutout victory in front of a sold out "white out" crowd in Winnipeg.

No, the victor of Game 7 at Bridgestone Arena does not get crowned champions of the National Hockey League season.
