On Saturday, Delhi will once again hope to entertain the fans with fireworks from the southpaw's blade, even as skipper Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw and Jason Roy missed the party last night. The live telecast of the IPL 2018 match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore will start at 8PM on May 12th (Saturday). His aggressive knock of 46 runs from 19 balls, helped Delhi to reach the score of 181-4 in 20 overs. Nepal's Sandeep Lamichhane, Junior Dala and Abhishek Sharma were handed their debut caps, brought in for Shadab Nadeem, Glenn Maxwell and Liam Plunkett.

The Daredevils' tally swelled from 120-4 to 181-4 as they allowed Sharma to step into Pant's shoes, notching 21 in a 22-run 17th over to set a far more hard target for the visitors.

Yuzvendra Chahal started extremely well for RCB as took the wickets of both the DD openers in his first two overs. It's a tough situation to play in but RCB can hold on to that way outside chance, mathematical permutations and hope of some other teams - Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians - misfiring collectively.

RCB rubber-stamped Delhi's elimination with a comfortable win on Saturday but defeat against Kings XI will effectively extinguish their own faint hopes of qualification.

Rahul continued his scintillating form in the IPL by smacking two fours and seven sixes as Punjab's top order crumbled around him.

But Kohli and De Villiers soon made a mockery of these early struggles and put on a marvellous stand of 118 for the next wicket, the visiting skipper hitting 10 boundaries. He felt that chasing gave them the authority to set up the game. After them, just as usual Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant steadily engaged in a partnership. Two overs later, they had crossed the 50-run mark with two sixes from Pant in the eighth over against RCB's medium-pacer Mohammed Siraj. It only took a special effort to remove Pant with AB de Villiers holding on to a spectacular sliding catch at long-on.

Earlier, RCB's bowlers began well with early scalps, but Pant and Abhishek wrested the momentum DD's way and led the side to a competitive total.

Abhishek was also lucky after being dropped by Siraj at third man before he could launch into his stride but once he did, he proved why the current junior lot is rated so highly. Tim Southee leaked 22 runs in the 17th over with Sharma smashing him for two sixes in a row.

The 17-year-old belied his age with such clean and powerful hitting in an innings that comprised four sixes and three boundaries. He then follows this up with a brilliant late cut on the 3 ball, using the pace to send the ball to deep backward point for FOUR more.
