Many believed that the "stuff" Jackman was doing was actually shooting for Deadpool 2. This week, Fox has put out a promo featuring soccer player David Beckham.

Alongside the video, Reynolds tweeted: "Little known fact: Canadians are born with a black belt in apology". It doesn't look like he'll take on the role again, not even for his good buddy Ryan Reynolds.

Deadpool 2 is one of 2018's most anticipated comic book films, but the movie hasn't been devoid of controversy.

Ever heard David Beckham speak? Deadpool says. "It's like he mouth-sexed a can of helium".

Beckham is seen rolling his eyes at the voice jibe before receiving an apology text from Deadpool. It's just.play a little hard to get.

What exactly is shown in Deadpool 2's post-credits scene is now a mystery, but one thing's for sure: Wade Wilson's new big screen adventure will most likely win over the world just as Deadpool did.

Picking up from the events of the first movie, it finds Deadpool bringing together the X-Force in order to combat Josh Brolin's mutant cyborg Cable.

Last week, we were treated to a Celine Dion music video, with Dion performing her song from the soundtrack. The pair shares a hug, and then Beckham asks what the actor was apologizing for in the first place.

Fans of the first film will remember that Deadpool (the character) in a scene with Blind Al, cracked jokes about English football legend and one of the greatest of his era, David Beckham and his British accent. When Reynolds responds thinking it was the line from the film, Beckham corrects him by naming Reynolds' pre-DP films, Green Lantern, RIPD, Self/less, Blade: Trinity, and Boltneck. A handful of critics and press got the opportunity to watch the initial Deadpool 2 screening and Twitter is already flooded with their first reactions which are unanimously positive.

Deadpool 2 opens up in cinemas next Friday May, 18.
