Bethesda Continue to Tease RAGE 2 Following Leak

Well, after a supposed leak of Bethesda's upcoming press conference, the company chose to poke some fun at the scandal.

Bethesda's account retweeted that, as did marketing exec Pete Hines with the message "this is why we can't have nice things".

Initially, people applauded the reaction as a pretty clever way to respond to and nearly debunk the leak, but then things started to get a little interesting. We've reached out to the publisher for comment and shall update you as soon as we get a response. If Bethesda does have something set for May 14, we at least won't have to wait much longer to find out what this invasion of pink means.

The publisher's E3 2018 showcase will debut on June 10 at 6:30PM PST. At the beginning of this week, Rage 2, as well as other games, was reportedly leaked on a Walmart site.

Bethesda teased some of the major disclosures of E3 last month and, even though one of those disclosures appeared to have been leaked ahead of E3, they look to be coping pretty well with Rage 2's leak. And while some images have been cryptic - Big Ben with a defaced clock face, a rocket taking off with purple clouds of dust behind it - they all seem to point to something huge tomorrow.

First came a Thursday tweet featuring a clocktower smeared in the same shade of pink, with the arms pointing to the time 5:14.

It's not unusual for Bethesda to give the game away before actually unveiling anything, though chances are we'll see more information about what all these teases add up to at E3 2018.

A follow up tweet featured people queuing for Anarchy Bus Tours, which is clearly linked to Rage.

Hopefully, things are shaping up pretty different, and the fact it is going to be longer than past year apparently shows what the developer and publisher are trying and cooking for us.
