Westbrook vows to shut down Rubio after triple-double

He may not be the Rookie of the Year (thanks to Ben Simmons who just ran away with it given his command of triple-doubles and leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 50-win season for the first time since 2001) but the Utah Jazz's Donovan Mitchell is still making plenty of noise for the promising rookie class of 2017. Having my name next to [Stockton's] name is an honor.

"He made some shots", Westbrook said in the post-game conference. It scored the next nine points to regain control and led 89-75 by the end of the third quarter. It's just the way we played. "You feel more secure on the wing".

The Thunder's big three of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George wilted in the face of the Jazz's onslaught and the constant roar of the Utah home crowd. The team led the National Basketball Association with 12.5 per game during the regular season and Adams was a huge part of that.

Ingles, who was a primary cog in Utah's offense as the Jazz got better and better throughout the season, was almost invisible in the first two games against the defense of George. "I thought he took good shots and it really stabilized our group". Jimmy Butler had 28 points and Karl-Anthony Towns had 18 points and 16 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who were more aggressive than they were in Games 1 and 2.

Westbrook, himself, is averaging 20.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists in the series. Utah had 19 second-chance points to the Thunder's eight.

However, Westbrook was clearly frustrated after the game and "guarantees" Rubio won't repeat his triple-double feat. "I'm getting in trouble jumping in the air and getting caught", he said. They needed 41 attempts to make 15 behind the arc in Game 3, as many as the Wolves swished in 27 tries. "I don't know what else to say".
