Daryl Worley was arrested after he was found asleep in his vehicle.

Worley allegedly became combative with police when roused around 6 a.m. and was tased before being taken into custody.

Another Eagles off-season addition is in trouble with the law.

Worley was arrested following an early Sunday morning confrontation with Philadelphia police in which he was tasered into submission after being combative. A gun was reportedly found. Worley is being held at Philadelphia police headquarters. Worley had been a versatile starting defensive back for Carolina during his two National Football League seasons, but he won't get a chance to suit up for his hometown Eagles.

The Eagles confirmed the arrest happened and said they are in the process of gathering more information.

A gun was reportedly found on the scene.

The Eagles acquired Worley last month from the Panthers in exchange for wide receiver Torrey Smith.

A Philadelphia native, Worley recorded 63 tackles and a career-high two interceptions in 14 starts for Carolina last season.

In 2014, while still a student at West Virginia, he pleaded no contest to an assault charge following an incident at a nightclub.

"I'm coming back home", Worley said at his introductory press conference on March 19.
