"Britain is undoubtedly... responsible for war crimes committed in Yemen over the past three years by selling weapons, providing logistic and intelligence assistance to the aggressor countries, and helping (to impose) an inhuman blockade on the people of the country", Qassemi said in a statement on Monday.

Iran has rejected claims made by Saudi Arabia that it provided the missiles used in an attack on Riyadh Sunday night.

The Pentagon blamed Iran for the Houthi missile attacks on Sunday.

Qassemi rejected the claims and said, "Undoubtedly, these warmongering and irresponsible remarks are open to legal and worldwide prosecution".

"Iran has enabled the conflict in Yemen to spill into neighboring countries and undermines global efforts to resolve the conflict, exacerbating the suffering of the Yemeni people".

Khoshrou said that Saudi Arabia should "abandon adventurism and warmongering and engage in constructive political dialogue with Yemen, which is its neighbor, while respecting the people's rights".

He said the fragments of missiles targeting Saudi Arabia indicate Tehran's involvement in supporting Houthis.

Yemen's military targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and as well as Abha, Najran and Jizan Regional Airports with ballistic missiles.

Saudi officials reported seven Yemeni missiles intercepted overnight, with debris from one of the missiles hitting a house and killing an Egyptian laborer.

"Therefore... they raise claims including accusing Iran of sending weapons to the nation of Yemen".

The Saudis have maintained the narrative that Iran is behind the Yemen War throughout, but have struggled to prove the weapons smuggling they allege. Much of the Arabian Peninsula country's infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and factories, has been reduced to rubble due to the war.
