Marvel's Luke Cage returns June 22 on Netflix. "But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can't save", the official season synopsis previews. Luke's back, he's still damn near indestructible, and judging by the song playing in the trailer, he's looking to get paid for his services this time around. We first met Luke - the first black superhero to star in his own comic book series, by the way - in Jessica Jones' first season as Jones' romantic partner. At some point, Misty and Luke are getting into a fist fight in a parking garage and Misty's going to put that fancy new bionic arm to good use.

The second season of Luke Cage will debut June 22, 2018, as revealed in the first teaser trailer. Watch the release date announcement promo, and check out some Luke Cage season two photos, below.

"You can't burn me, you can't blast me, and you definitely can't break me", he says. Because this is Marvel we're talking about and everything they do these days draws a big enough crowd to justify the indulgence. "Luke Cage" features Mike Colter, Justin Swain, and Simone Missick, and is only available on Netflix. The premiere episode of season two is directed by Lucy Liu (Future World).

Series showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker serves as executive producer for the second season along with Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb. We'll just have to wait and see.

The video's YouTube description mentions that a "formidable foe" will test Luke's resolve, and make the hero question the role of the hero and villain.
