Today, he, along with assistant general manager Kevin Abrams and senior vice president of player evaluation Chris Mara, are at USC's Pro Day to watch quarterback Sam Darnold.

With the New York Jets trading now holding onto the No. 3 pick in the 2018 draft, the Cleveland Browns are more than likely going to take a quarterback with the No. 1 pick. Weather conditions didn't affect Darnold, who cut the ball through the driving rain and set up ideal passes to his receivers.

"Just being aware of all those little things and then coming out here and ripping it". The Browns need to get their quarterback, and there's a good chance they can get the top non-quarterback of the draft with the fourth overall pick, which they own as well. Cleveland and NY own the top two picks in this year's draft. "Just based on that, yeah, a part of me really wants to go No. 1". But if Darnold was on top of their board before Wednesday, nothing that happened at the pro day workout should change that.

Darnold's movement was smooth, his footwork was refined, and the throwing motion was cleaned up. "I thought I did a pretty good job". "I think having played games in the rain before, I knew I wasn't going to have a problem with it", Darnold told NFL Network.

While there is no clear consensus, many have Darnold leading the pack.

Darnold completed 303 of 480 passes for 4,143 yards, with 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, last season.
