Navigate Google Maps as Super Mario in his go-kart on Mario Day

And to mark the occasion, Google has partnered with Mario's maker Nintendo to bring the character to Google Maps for an entire week.

In addition to the Google Mario Kart Easter Egg, yoiu can get 50% off Super Mario Run for the weekend to honour the annual event.

Load up your blue shells and banana peels because Mario Kart has come to Google Maps.

The navigation arrow then transforms into Mario and he'll join you for all your driving this week.

During your route, Mario will ride along with you on a red go-kart until you arrive at your final destination. "After that, you'll have to click on the yellow "?" icon located on the bottom right of your Google Maps app. "He'll be a constant companion wherever you're driving this week-to work, to school, or the spaghetti house". It might take a day or two for you to be able to see the marker, depending on where you live. Google first introduced Google Maps in 2005 and has rolled out subsequent updates over the years.
