Ohm Youngmisuk has covered the Giants, Jets and the National Football League since 2006. It's fun to think how good the Lakers' young core could be with James added to the lineup.

Since the Lakers were hosting LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, there was obviously a lot of talk about his upcoming free agency.

Unsurprisingly, Mayweather boasted court-side seats, sat alongside actor Jack Nicholson as the pair watched the Lakers run out 127-113 winners.

With the win, the Lakers have now gone 7-2 after the All-Star break. The Cavaliers, on the other hand, dropped to fourth in the Eastern Conference, just a half game back of the Indiana Pacers.

Rockets 105, Mavericks 82: Eric Gordon scored 26 points and Chris Paul had 24 points and 12 assists as Houston, playing without James Harden, beat Dallas. But James didn't have much help and he displayed some frustration after he had a pass deflected by former teammate Isaiah Thomas for a turnover that later resulted in a Julius Randle dunk for the Lakers. That was the last thing James did on the court before exiting for good with 6 minutes, 24 seconds left in the final frame. "That ball movement, that body movement that he had when he was in Golden State."The Cavs traded Thomas, Channing Frye (who's out recovering from an appendectomy) and their first round pick for Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson".

The Lakers' exciting performance against Cleveland underlined that notion, for whatever it's worth in James' mind. Power forward Julius Randle led the Lakers with 36 points while big man Brook Lopez and 3-and-D guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 22 and 20 points, respectively.

Thomas has not been shooting the ball that well since coming over to Los Angeles at the trade deadline, but he played well on Sunday in a revenge game against the team that traded him.

Thomas is averaging 23.4 FanDuel points per game this season. "I don't need to show anybody anything". "They know what I can do". If this was his last game of his career against the Lakers, it was a forgettable one. "The world knows what I can do". As a person. Something I knew I could do.
