Limited Edition God of War PlayStation 4 Pro Revealed

At this point, you'd probably have to be living under a rock to be unaware of the new God of War game coming out this year. In that way, this is something of a soft reboot of the franchise, but at the same time, this is the same Kratos that challenged the Gods of Olympus in the original God of War trilogy.

In the blog post detailing the limited edition PS4 Pro, Sony has also confirmed the resolution and features offered by God of War on the PS4 Pro.

The special God of War bundle features a fully customized PS4 Pro with 1TB of memory inspired by Kratos' Axe, with a Leviathan Gray DualShock 4 wireless controller, complete with insignia. The price isn't too bad either, coming in at $399.99 and available for pre-order now.

This Limited Edition PS4 Pro was designed in close collaboration with Santa Monica Studio, bringing to life Kratos' Leviathan Axe. On the front, you'll see runes that represent different realms from the game.

The DualShock 4 controller has the Huldra Brothers brand on it, just like the Axe, and a God of War logo on the touchpad.

God of War 4 will Support 2160p Checkerboarding and Supersampling for 1080p owners, as well as HDR across all PS4s. Yes, I know, it's not as powerful as an Xbox One X, but I'd say it's one of the better-looking limited edition designs Sony has cooked up (for whatever that's worth).

For those anxious about Sony's upcoming God of War, you'll be pleased to learn that the game will not feature microtransactions. In order to encourage more people to buy the game, Sony will be packaging it alongside the more powerful PS4 Pro console.
