In order to save $200 on the Google Pixel 2 XL, customers will have to spread the payments for their phone out over 24 months - a payment plan with availability subject to credit approval.

While Google's Pixel 2 family now has the spotlight, last year's original Pixel devices aren't out for the count just yet. While there have been some bumps in the road and there are some problems with the phone to this day, it is an overall improvement over the original Pixel and offers another high-end smartphone to the luxury flagship arena. It'll even throw in a free 18 W USB-C adapter to sweeten the pot.

It is said that the affected Google Pixel 2 XL units are running on both Android 8.0 Oreo OS as well the latest Android 8.1 Oreo OS. Google is no longer that different, having entered the device-making and selling businesses. If you opt for the deal, that means you will be paying $649 for the 64GB option and $749 for the 128GB model. Under Google Financing's 24-month terms, that is reduced to $35.38 and $39.54 per month, for the 64 and 128 GB models, respectively.

That $200 comes as a statement credit that Google gives you back after two billing cycles.

The promo runs from 18 March 12 am PT to 31 March 11:59 pm PT. To help with the wait, Google also offers its 18W USB Type-C power adapter for free if you buy the Pixel 2 XL. The usual credit offer to the monthly billing over two years.

For customers who, for some reason, would like to purchase the smaller Pixel 2 despite it carrying the same price as the Pixel 2 XL, they can still avail the free charger.
