Twitch has announced a new program that'll grant Twitch Prime members access to a collection of free games each month. Recently, Twitch asked users to vote on these indie games, with the winning titled being offered for free to Twitch Prime users this week.

For a while now, Twitch has been giving away video games to Prime subscribers, but this is the first program that will regularly give out games. As the name suggests, this is where Twitch Prime members can receive free games on a monthly basis, with the first giveaway starting on the 15th of March.

On top of that, the announcement says that all eight titles from the Indie Amplifier program will be released via the new program in the coming months, in no particular order. These titles will be available to claim until March 31. Users will be able to access their free games on Thursday.

The best part is that according to Twitch, these games are for gamers to keep forever. So, yeah, as the post points out, that's ten free games in two months. The choice to start this new program was due to the response of the Twitch Prime Indie Amplifier program. Back in the day, Microsoft didn't have rhyme or reason to charge for internet usage with Xbox Gold, but ever since taking a hard loss at the beginning of the Xbox One generation, they've been following suit with Games with Gold.

The free games in the whole scheme of Twitch Prime fit in as a benefit. Users need to act within that timeframe or else the listing will get refreshed with other titles.

A little over a year ago, they have begun offering their own Amazon Prime subscribers perks on the streaming platform.
