Allegiant to begin nonstop Memphis-Oakland flights in May

The flights connecting Florida to the central NY region will initially operate two days per week on Wednesday and Saturday, according a press release which did not give introductoryprices.

Allegiant announced it will begin nonstop service between Memphis International Airport The flight will run twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday.

BJNN asked if the Syracuse airport had used any grants to offer the airline incentives to secure the flights, like it has done in the past.

"We're very excited to grow again in handsome Myrtle Beach", said Lukas Johnson, Allegiant senior vice president of commercial.

"There is great demand for travel between these attractive cities, and we're sure that folks will take advantage of our convenient, ultra-low cost, nonstop service to enjoy all that Music City has to offer".

The airline is offering introductory fares as low as $45 with some restrictions.

Allegiant added the service to "meet the demand that exists in the market", Christina Callahan, executive director of Syracuse Hancock International Airport, tells BJNN. Learn more about other fees and services here. Routes to Louisville begin June 6 with fares as low as $52. Representatives said these prices will not be available for all flights.

"Allegiant will be adding five new nonstop destinations that are now not available at BNA, providing our passengers with great holiday and vacation options".
