The "peak prices will be $129 for adults and $123 for children". Your Disney World theme park admission tickets will be tied to the dates you plan to use them, just like hotel reservations and airfares.

Ticket prices are going up at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, but the increase shouldn't come as a surprise.

"Given the small percentage of guests that purchase a one-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending prepublished, date-specific pricing to multiday tickets will further advance our efforts spread to attendance throughout the year", said Andrea Finger, spokeswoman for Walt Disney World.

At Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, one-day "value" tickets will go up by $2, which will now cost $102 for adults and $96 for children. A single-day regular ticket now cost $114, a $7 increase from previous year. A single-day ticket during peak periods will climb to $135, also an increase at $11.

The company says they hope the price hike will prevent overcrowding at the theme parks.

We have been telling you for a couple of weeks now - if it's February, it must be time for Disney's annual ticket price increases.

Annual passes are also increasing in price.

Southern California residents still have rights to buy a "select passport" for 369 US dollars but that pass blocks out all weekends and nearly the entire summer and Christmas season. The price previously was $97. Standard parking will now cost $22 per day, while preferred parking will cost $45 per day.

According to Disney, the prices will take effect Sunday.

The 1-billion dollars cost "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" is the biggest expansion project at Disneyland The new land, featuring two rides and a landscape inspired by the popular Star Wars franchise, is not scheduled to open until 2019.

All of the changes are reflected on the parks' websites.

Officials said that the program would continue to evolve and adapt to guests' visiting habits.
