Apple's TV app got an upgrade this week as a dedicated section for live news has been added to the front page.

If you don't have the corresponding app on your iOS device or Apple TV, you'll be redirected to download it from the App Store.

The TV app News section now offers live news feeds from Bloomberg, CBS News, Fox News, CNBC, CNN, and Cheddar.

The catch is that each of these networks will require their own dedicated app to function.

Both the News and the Sports sections were showcased alongside the unveiling of the Apple TV 4K and the two sections work to support each other. Once you've installed the app for each network you're interested in, you'll be able to quickly navigate between them using Siri's voice control functionality. For instance, simply say "Play CNN" to immediately jump to the live feed in the CNN application. The News feature now only includes US-based outlets, though this may change down the line.

If you're running the most recent versions of iOS and tvOS, the feature should now be live.

On the main "Watch Now" tab, if you scroll past your "Up Next" queue and the top recommendations, there's a new "News" section.
