Sridevi is no more, dies of cardiac arrest in Dubai

Sridevi's brother-in-law Sanjay Kappor has confirmed the sad news of her death.

Along with her husband Boney and younger daughter Khushi, Sridevi had travelled to the emirate to attend actor Mohit Marwah's wedding. She started her career as a child artist, and became one of the biggest female stars of India. She appeared in numerous films throughout the '80s and '90s, including "Mr. India" and "Chandni". She had over 275 acting credits to her name including those in regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

In 2017 he came up with another impressive performance in Mom which will now be remembered as her last film. After 15 years of hiatus, she made a stellar comeback in Gauri Shinde's movie English Vinglish.

Sridevi, the first Bollywood female superstar, died on Saturday night following a heart attack.

Sridevi was hugely admired for her energy, charm. dance and great comic timing.

Sridevi is honoured with Padma Sri award in 2013 by Government of India, while other honours and awards are unlimited for her. She could not go to Dubai due to a very busy filming schedule. Sridevi's daughter Janhvi is set to make her Bollywood debut this year with Karan Johar's Dhadak.
