I view it more as a relationship.

The #BlackPantherChallenge surrounding the film also went viral, which permitted children to see the film for free. I feel like I'm a part of something very different to what I've done until now.

One of the most interesting elements of this film is the design of Wakanda itself.

"I was going through a lot, a very hard time in my life and I just needed to take a break from acting because I really idolized it".

Coogler and his team made the right call, but it's interesting to hear that the United Nations scene came close to becoming the ending at one point in time.

The movie has been breaking records, drawing in positive reviews, and inspiring many people with its lovely representation of the Black experience. "My happiness wasn't dependent on that, it was dependent on my relationship with God", she added.

"I'm centered in who I am and I'm really grateful".

"I grew up seeing so many stereotypes on TV and I didn't want to play that as well". "Especially as a Christian you're not ideal". "Just because the idea was that these two things can't coexist; if T'Challa and him... you know, that was a great tragedy of it for T'Challa, I think".

Black Panther was meant to keep the buzz alive ahead of Marvel's big film Avengers: Infinity War.

"It was easy, and I'll tell you why". The debate on whether Wakanda should remain hidden from the world or use their resources to help people, drives the conflict further until there is only one king left alive.

Early industry estimates (via Deadline) from the film's four-day opening over the President's Day holiday weekend in the USA peg Black Panther as having raked in a whopping $US242 million ($307 million) - practically double what was expected of the movie in early tracking released just last month.

Lupita Nyong'o praised on social media this week her "Black Panther" co-star Chadwick Boseman for leading the way as the film broke down barriers and box office records in its opening weekend.

Gospel music veteran Kirk Franklin, expressed support for the film, saying it represents hope for a community of people.

It's also doing well outside of the USA, bringing in the 15th largest worldwide opening weekend, ahead of movies like Justice League, The Dark Knight Rises, Logan, Avatar, and Wonder Woman, to name a few, without even having opened in China, Japan, or Russian Federation.
