Freezing rain on the way for Halton

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for much of southern Quebec including Montreal, Quebec City and the Eastern Townships.

Another round of snow will develop overnight.

A blanket of freezing rain is expected to hit SD&G Sunday afternoon and continue into Sunday night.

The rain will switch back to snow in the afternoon and should end sometime Sunday evening.

Highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery, according to Environment Canada.

Freezing rain will add an icy sheen to Toronto's rooftops, roadways, and sidewalks over the course of Sunday. "Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions". Between two and five millimetres of freezing rain are expected.
