EA has officially announced that Burnout Paradise Remastered is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on March 16th. That's Cops and Robbers, Legendary Cars, Burnout Bikes, Burnout Paradise Toys, Burnout Paradise Party, Boost Specials, and Cagney, plus the Big Surf Island expansion, which brought the titular landmass to the core map. If you're an EA Access member, you can start playing the game on March 9 with a 10 hour trial version.

The console versions of Burnout Paradise Remastered will be out on March 16 for $40, while an Origin listing for the PC release is now running with the tried-and-true "coming soon". The game is set to release on March 16th for both consoles.

The Burnout series was really popular in the PS2/Xbox One era as it featured very fun arcade style of gameplay. This includes the extension to the drivable world via Big Surf Island. The game is also coming to the PC via EA's Origin platform later this year although unfortunately, no specific launch date for PC was provided.

The remaster will certainly breathe new life into the Burnout series and hints that Criterion Games are not finished with their beloved IP.

Burnout Paradise Remastered will be available as a digital download and at retail for £34.99.

The most exciting part of this announcement is that the game will come back online for a whole new generation.

Featuring Criterion's trademark speed and destruction with awesome stunts and spectacular crashes. There's only 24 days to go before we (potentially) go on down to the Paradise City for a second time.
