On Friday there is a slight chance of rain and snow in the morning.

With cold air back in East Texas, many people in the area experienced short bursts of sleet, freezing rain and some snow flurries Thursday night. Temperatures will warm up into the 40s for most communities.

Snow is likely on Friday in the Billings area while the high will be about 9 degrees. This volume of water running into the streams and rivers may lead to large rises on the waterways. A winter weather advisory is in effect from 11 a.m.to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

"After reaching the 50s and 60s along the Interstate 95 corridor late this past week, high temperatures will be held in the 20s and 30s into next week", AccuWeather Meteorologist Kyle Elliott said. A clipper type system will quickly approach for Tuesday into Wednesday. Scattered snow showers are possible during the day.

Today: Areas of fog before noon.

There is a high likelihood of significant urban street flooding, most notably where storm drains remain clogged. Southwest wind 3 to 6 miles per hour.

Sunday's forecast calls for snow to be likely, mainly before 10 a.m. A new shift of workers reported at 8 a.m. Saturday to continue clearing the roads.

Total rainfall is forecast to be up to a half-inch during the course of the flood watch, forecasters said.

SATURDAY: Rain ends in the morning. The wind will be from the north northwest at 10 to 13 miles per hour, gusting to 21 miles per hour. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
