Reports suggest her injuries are as bad as those suffered by WWE Hall of Famer Edge who had to immediately retire after a series of neck surgeries. As we all know, Paige was out of action for over a year with a neck injury that required surgery.

Further testing has seen her advised she will not be cleared to return to the ring, according to the report.

WWE Superstar Paige reportedly was informed this week that she will not be cleared to return to in-ring competition, likely marking the end of her wrestling career in WWE. It is believed Paige was given the news at the Raw taping this past Monday. She is well liked by management, so she should be kept on in some capacity behind the scenes.

It was believed that she had just suffered a stinger, but after she started losing feeling in her extremities, WWE chose to do more testing which ultimately led to the decision to pull her from in-ring action.

Although WWE has advertised Paige for the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match, she will obviously be pulled from the match and replaced.

It's being said the company wants to keep her in a non-wrestling role much like Daniel Bryan now is the GM of Smackdown Live. Paige was teaming with Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville against Sasha Banks, Bayley & Mickie James.

The injury she suffered recently was very serious because Sasha Banks kicked her from behind. When Paige came up to the main-roster and defeated AJ Lee for the Divas Championship in 2014, it seemed she had a bright future in the WWE.

Of course, The Rock is producing WWE Studios' forthcoming film "Fighting With My Family", which will be released theatrically September 14th.

Neither she nor WWE have made any public statements since the initial report hit the web.
