Given that the company now claims that it is in talks with the U.S. carriers, we believe that OnePlus is serious about what CNET states is "breaking into the mainstream". He was a bit less forthcoming when it comes to whether there would be a OnePlus 6T in late 2018.

OnePlus is the smartphone company that broke onto the mobile scene relatively recently and made waves with its excellent devices. It stated that OnePlus would be debuting the OnePlus 6 smartphone in June this year. If OnePlus wants to reach the lucrative market in a powerful way, it has nearly no choice but to partner with a carrier.

OnePlus had earlier confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will be launched in the second quarter of 2018, which is in line with the company's previous flagship which launched in June 2017, which suggests that OnePlus is basically keeping to tradition/habit in their phone releases, but apparently they plan to break tradition this year.

OnePlus has traditionally focused a lot on selling its devices through various online websites, including its own.

OnePlus fans have another reason to rejoice as the company is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship smartphone OnePlus 6.

When the company had newly entered the USA market, it saved money by selling smartphones through invitation system meaning that it manufactured smartphones according to the number of invitations that buyers received.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau made the statement at the Bellagio on Wednesday, saying that talks with major US carriers could begin this year, CNET reports. This was expected news as OnePlus users Qualcomm's flagship chip every year on their smartphones, and that's not going to change for a while. If the company plans on sticking to its release schedule from previous year, the OnePlus 6 could arrive in June.

OnePlus will face challenges in forging a partnership with a us carrier, though. However, off late it has started striking partnerships with telecom companies in Europe and is looking forward to inking such a deal in the United States as well. Also, the company has confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
