OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition makes its way to India

OnePlus 5T Lava Red has been launched in India, and registrations for the phone begin January 11 on Amazon. "We are happy to kickstart 2018 with the much requested OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition, our first ever red smartphone, that will certainly appeal to those looking for the flawless balance of handsome design and powerful features".

The OnePlus 5T Lava Red edition was the second option from OnePlus which the company offered a day after launching the base model of OnePlus 5T in Midnight Black color variant. Currently, it is listed on OnePlus' official store and will also be available on Amazon India's website.

Other than the aesthetic differences, the device is identical to the 8GB variant of the midnight black version. The OnePlus 5T Lava Red had been launched earlier in China. While the regular variant comes in two variants - 6GB RAM with 64GB storage space and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage space.

OnePlus recently launched the 5T Sandstone White Limited Edition for global markets as well.

OnePlus 5T Lava Red flaunts a 6 inch AMOLED full view display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution, 401 PPI, 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on it. Underneath, the smartphone features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU. For those unaware, the OnePlus 5T comes with a bezel-less display.

OnePlus 5T runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with company's OxygenOS on top; it will soon be getting Android 8.0 Oreo update. It comes with Face Unlock feature, which lets users to unlock the phone by looking at the screen. On the front is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. It draws power from the 3,300 mAh battery underneath its hood and the proprietary Dash charging feature promises fast charging times.
