David Letterman is coming back with a whole new talk show called My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on Netflix, and his first guest is another recent retiree - President Barack Obama!

"This was probably three or four months before he died and Prince asks [my daughter] Sasha to come up and dance, and she's an excellent dancer", Obama says in the clip, according to Variety. "You've got to stay in the pocket", Obama continues, "because I think everybody in here knows dads who get out of the pocket". "You know, they start doing like karate kicks and all kinds of stuff", he says, before asking whether Letterman, who has a son, karate kicks as a dance move.

David Letterman, who said goodbye to his long-running talk show almost three years ago, is saying hello to TV again with a new show for Netflix.

Obama's interview will run on the premiere episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, which hits Netflix on January 12. It will mark his first television talk show appearance since leaving office. In the announcement trailer, it was revealed that hip hop rapper Jay-Z prolific writer and comedian, Tina Fey, Malala Yousafzai, actor George Clooney, and the shock jock himself, Howard Stern, will all be making appearances on the show.

Netflix described the series by saying that its "interviews will take place both inside and outside a studio setting". The show will premiere on Netflix on Friday. Like he always used to do on Late Night, Letterman laughs it off.
