Monster Hunter World Will Receive a Day 1 Update

Finally, Fujioka and Tokuda were questioned about the possibility of Monster Hunter World coming at some point to Nintendo Switch and their response reiterated what was said months ago: There are no plans for a release.

"Monster Hunter: World's" final beta ends on January 22 and the full game will be available on PS4 and Xbox One on Jan 26. Few of the reasons were that the game was in development for roughly 4 years and they had to choose their hardware that was the best one to use for this game. So [the decision was made] before the Switch was even announced or on sale. Capcom recently shared details about the game's day-one patch, which adds a couple of features and will be required to play the game online.
