Limited edition OnePlus 5T Sandstone White lands with a Stormtrooper look

Remember those rumors about a sandstone version of the OnePlus 5T? It launched in India, Denmark, Finland, and Sweden in Sandstone White, but didn't come to the U.S., U.K., and other worldwide markets right away, which left some Sandstone fans disappointed.

Eagle-eyed observers will note that this version of the 5T is largely identical to the special edition Star Wars: The Last Jedi-branded model released in India in December, minus the Star Wars branding and wallpapers. Sales start Tuesday, January 9 at 10:00 a.m. EST. The OnePlus 5T model differentiated itself with a larger 6-inch AMOLED display squeezed into a phone about the same size as the original. I do wish that the volume rocker, power button, and SIM tray were also red or white, but they are the same black as the standard model. This second layer helps ensure the white colouring is truly opaque, completely covering the metal material. That unique texture that customers could enjoy when buying a sandstone smartphone seems to be very popular among OnePlus fans. Finally, a UV layer is applied to further refine the tactile sensation. It's available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and will cost £499 in the United Kingdom and $559 in the US. Taking a total of 75 minutes per phone, these high-precision, low yield processes make the body of the OnePlus 5T Sandstone White the most expensive we have ever produced. The company has released other phones and cases with the sandstone textured finish in the past, but this is the first time it's been applied to a metal device and the first time it's been available in white.
