Klopp wants Liverpool to do more than preserve unbeaten run

Swansea City host Liverpool tonight in what will be last match of this Premier League weekend. It's been a good run, the run of a side in form second only to Manchester City in England.

Jurgen Klopp has made the bold decision to reinstate Loris Karius as Liverpool's first choice goalkeeper, with the German set to take over Simon Mignolet for the rest of the season. Long balls into the box will help keep Carvalhal's attackers on the front foot, and will ensure that Karius will be kept busy for the entire 90 minutes. It's a fixture where they've had mixed results since the Welsh side were promoted under Brendan Rodgers in 2011.

Swansea are a huge, and potentially attractive, 10/1 to beat Liverpool.

"So let's try and exploit that and hide the strong points that they do have".

"We don't have Coutinho any more, but there are other players who can stand up".

And Carvalhal says he has seen enough progress to provide optimism that Swansea can escape relegation.

"I can't imagine any easy games in the Premier League and Swansea is for sure not an easy game". The Swans have hit the back of the net on only 14 occasions. Manchester City are the only team to have tasted defeat on fewer occasions. "Sometimes the players give an extra 20 or 30 per cent".

Spurs striker Harry Kane has scored nine goals in his past five starts in the Premier League, with all nine coming from inside the box.

"I saw a lot of good things in the games he played in the last few weeks and that is why he is in".

It features clips from the 2017-18 season, showing Liverpool in full flow on the counter-attack or pressing teams high up the pitch. Although he hasn't lived up to what his brother did in South Wales, he is quickly making his mark at the club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored against Maribor, West Ham United, Swansea City and Manchester City in his Liverpool FC career so far.

The Brazilian global could have been affected by the sale of compatriot Philippe Coutinho. Will Carvalhal spring a surprise or two, will Klopp unleash Mane, Salah AND Firmino?

It might seem arrogant but it's unlikely many Liverpool fans will focus on the opposition right now.

Mike van der Hoorn (muscle injury), Renato Sanches (hamstring) and Angel Rangel (calf) should all be available. Angel Rangel will be missing with a calf strain.

Speaking of fit players, Klopp spoke of an illness which is affecting the squad, including players such as Dejan Lovren, Ragnar Klavan, and Mohamed Salah. However, they are still without the services of Nathaniel Clyne and Daniel Sturridge, who are both out injured. Because it is Alberto, he trains all the time and feels it still a little bit - in one or two movements you can see.

After those three games they face Tottenham at Anfield. It was feared that they would be less potent after the departure of Coutinho, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
