The 80-year-old announced she had a cancerous growth removed from her face, while promoting the new season of her Netflix series, Grace and Frankie, in New York City on Monday.

Fonda appeared on The Tonight Show couch alongside her Grace and Frankie costar, Lily Tomlin, and the two friends' hilarious chemistry was on full display. We wouldn't handle it quite as calmly, but props.

"I just want to explain the bandage", the two-time Oscar victor told the crowd. "Yeah, they did I'm going to be fine, thanks". On the show, she revealed: "I just want to explain the bandage. I don't normally go around like this".

The comical moment led Fonda jokingly to shoot back at Tomlin, "Who are you, Megyn Kelly?". "I just had a cancer taken from my lip", Fonda explained. During the lively interview, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie asked the co-stars how long they've known each other.

Remember a few months ago when Megyn Kelly asked Jane Fonda a super awkward question about plastic surgery? I think it's to your credit.

But Jane Fonda obviously hadn't forgotten it when she returned on Tuesday with Lily Tomlin, branding her co-star "Megyn Kelly" for bringing up her plastic surgery.

'We really want to talk about that right now?' Jane protested at the time, and they quickly moved on.

According to People, Fonda also had a tumor removed from her breast in 2011.

Fonda has never denied having work done, but the two-time Academy Award victor hasn't actually opened up on any procedures she may have received over the years.
